ASME & NRC sponsor 2017 Pump & Valve Symposium

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) are jointly sponsoring the 13th Pump & Valve Symposium which will take place from 16 – 19 July 2017, in Silver Spring, Maryland, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Washington DC - Silver Spring.

Registration is now open for the 2017 Pump & Valve Symposium (P&V), which will cover the latest issues, technology, developments and research in the pre-service and in-service testing of nuclear power plants and components.  

 

Pre-service and in-service testing is essential in ensuring that nuclear power plants are operating safely and their readiness for safe shutdown.  The field is rapidly changing.  The symposium will cover important topics in pre-service and in-service testing from the perspective of industry best practices and ASME codes.

 

Previous P&Vs have attracted leaders in nuclear energy, including: Southern Nuclear Co., Duke Energy, Exelon Corp., Tennessee Valley Authority, PSE&G, Dominion, Idaho National Laboratory, Westinghouse Electric, GE Hitachi, National Technical Systems (NTS), and True North Consulting.
